Lesa Johnson Is a veteran of planning and directing more than a dozen camps for various ages at Sierra Pines. Lesa has a heart for youth, Christian camping and Jesus Christ. She has been involved with Sierra Pines as a camper since 1978, then later as a staff member, counselor, and volunteer leader. She has personally experienced life-changing decisions at Sierra Pines Camp as a youth as have many members of her family. She was an integral part of the purchase of the camp from the American Baptists and has helped set the foundation of independent Christian Camping at Sierra Pines.

In her "day job" Lesa works as Associate Vice President and Financial Advisor at a major Wall Street firm. She combines her seventeen years' experience in business with her love for Christ by serving as the Vice Chair of the Sierra Pines Board and is involved in camp expansion, counselor and staff development, fund raising, and acting like a kid. She plays keyboards and sings back-up vocals in the worship band at North Valley Church in Antelope.

Finally, Lesa holds a degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley (GO BEARS!). Her friendly Deputy Sheriff husband, Dean, and sons, Joshua and Evan, round out her team at camp. Lesa says she is praising God in advance for the changed lives at Sierra Pines Snow Camps.

Darin Elquist was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, Darin is a former Marine, was the youth pastor at Emmanuel First Baptist Church in Sparks for nearly five years, and has been programming camps for over eight years. Darin has a heart to see young people come to know the love, grace and mercy of Jesus. He loves the Lord, camp, and ensuring that people have unforgettable experiences at camp.

Darin has been married for 11 years to a very lovely lady named Becki. Together they have four children: Macyn, Carson, Rusty, and Andrew.

I am from Wisconsin and was most recently working in northern Minnesota. I have been working at camps for about 14 years doing all sorts of stuff. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking biking, canoeing. I came to California for a new adventure and to expand my career in camping. As the maintenance guru I do just about everything from clean toilets to fix pipes to painting to whatever else needs to be done and even a little bit of program stuff. I also love Broadway plays and tap dancing.

Stephanie Roberts is in charge of housekeeping here at Sierra Pines, and also works part time in the kitchen. Stephanie loves to tap dance and sing.
