How To Get Here

The camp is located 45 miles East of Placerville on US Highway 50 and 15 miles west of South Lake Tahoe.

It is 2½ miles east of Twin Bridges, approximately 2½ miles west of Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort.

From The California Side

  1. Take U.S. Highway 50 east from Sacramento and Placerville as if you were going to South Lake Tahoe.
  2. Just past Twin Bridges and Camp Sacramento on your left is Sierra Pines Road. Turn left off Highway 50 on to Sierra Pines Road.
  3. Follow Sierra Pines Road ½ mile to the camp entrance turning left.
  4. Proceed to the office below the lodge's front deck for registration and housing assignments. The lodge is a large, two-story building with the dining/meeting area, kitchen and dorms.

From The Nevada Side

  1. Take Highway 50 from South Lake Tahoe west past Echo Summit and Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort.

    Note:  Pioneer Trail from near Stateline to Highway 50 near Myers is quicker.

  2. About 2½ miles past Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort (on your left past Echo Summit) you will see the Sierra Pines Road sign. Turn right off Highway 50 on to Sierra Pines Road.
  3. Follow Sierra Pines Road ½ mile to the camp entrance turning left.
  4. Proceed to the office below the lodge's front deck for registration and housing assignments. The lodge is a large, two-story building with the dining/meeting area, kitchen and dorms.

U.S. Highway 50 is an all-year highway so efforts are made to keep it open at all times.
