Employment Opportunities

Sierra Pines Camp is a ministry. We offer a place for people to get away from the distractions from the city and connect with God in a different way. Thousands of people come to Christ here at camp.

As a staff member you will be responsible for changing lives. The work can be difficult but at summer's end you can return home with new skills, some new knowledge, a closer walk with Christ, and knowing that you spent your summer in service to the Most High God.

Full Time Employment

Sierra Pines and the North American Baptist NorCal Association are currently seeking qualified people for the following year around positions. These positions are available Mid August 2008:

  • Executive Director
  • This is a full time position with salary(DOE), Housing and other benefits. at least 5 years camp management experience preferred. This candidate or couple should have a calling to the camping ministry and Sierra Pines. Must really, really, love snow.

  • Food Service Director
  • This is a 3/4 time positon, pay is hourly with overtime(DOE). Must be flexible, Put out tasty timely meals, and should enjoy kids and the camping ministry.

  • Office and Guest Services Co-ordinator
  • Responsible for HR, handle phone inquiries, walk-ins, rental contract, tours, camp registration. Basic admin duties, requires knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and should enjoy the camping environment. This is a full time position


Summer Jobs  (Available June - August)

These are not your typical summer jobs. They are great opportunities to serve the Lord, be part of a vital ministry, and spend your summer in the beautiful High Sierra Mountains.

Lifeguard

  • Should be 18 or older
  • Must have current:
    • AHA or ARC Lifeguard certification
    • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Must have good people skills and love working with youth of all ages
  • Water front lifesaving a plus
  • Must attend once a week bible study
  • Must be in a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Starting pay DOE

Kitchen

  • Should be at least 18 years old
  • Must be willing to learn
  • Must be ready to work hard
  • Pay DOE
  • Must be in a growing relationship with Jesus
    • Duties include
    • washing dishes
    • cleaning
    • prep for meals

Maintenance

  • Should be 18 or older
  • Must be in a growing relationship with Jesus
  • Starting pay $9 p/hr
  • Duties include
    • housekeeping
    • trash collection
    • assisting groups with other needs
    • Minor Fix-it kind of stuff
    • painting

Volunteer Positions

We are seeking a retired couple or two with RV to join our summer ministry. With age comes experience and wisdom. We need both!

Work is available wherever your skills are.

  • carpentry

  • housekeeping

  • our camp store

  • Bible studies and mentoring of youth summer staff

Camp Counselors

We are always looking for people who wish to share the love of Christ with children and teens at our summer camps. We are looking for solid men and women who are willing to volunteer as camp counselors.
